Who we are

A Tavola (atavola.online) is a gluten-free recipe community. The data controller is A Tavola. For any question or request about your data, write to atavola.online@gmail.com.

What we collect

We do not collect data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell your data.

What others can see

Your username, avatar, bio, points, approved recipes and comments are visible to other people using the site. Your email address is never shown. Avoid putting personal information you do not want to share in your bio, comments or recipes.

Why we use your data

Who we share it with

We use these providers, who process data on our behalf only to run the service:

ProviderPurpose
SupabaseDatabase, accounts and sign-in. Data is stored in Ireland (EU).
NetlifyHosting of the website.
CloudflareDomain registration and DNS.
ResendSending service emails and the newsletter (servers in Ireland).
Google FontsSite fonts: your browser downloads them directly from Google, which therefore receives your IP address.
jsDelivrNetwork that delivers a software library used by the site.

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States, and may process data there under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).

Cookies and browser storage

A Tavola does not use profiling or advertising cookies and does not use analytics tools. The site stores in your browser only what is strictly necessary for it to work: your sign-in session (to keep you logged in) and which recipes you have already seen. That is why there is no consent banner. You can delete this data at any time in your browser settings; you would then need to sign in again.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we remove your account and linked data; providers' backups may remain for a short time before being overwritten.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format, or object to its processing. Write to atavola.online@gmail.com: we reply as soon as possible and in any case within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

Changes

If we change anything important, we will update this page and the date at the top.
